S. D. Model Sr. Sec. School
The learned esteemed members of S.D. Education Society always felt the need of a good school run on public school lines to meet the growing needs of the town and to fulfill the dreams of the impressionable years which is indeed the nursery for the production of reasonable citizens, men of character, leaders, administrators and scientists.
In pursuance of the above said objective, the Managing committee after thoughtful consideration resolved to meet the demands of General public. So, S.D. Model Sr. Sec. School was established in 1996, which was then governed by the Managing Committee of S. D. Sr. Sec. School (Multan), Karnal.
In 1996, the president of the Trust put his best, sincere and concerted efforts and S.D.Model School was affiliated to C.B.S.E. Delhi up to secondary level & subsequently it was upgraded to Sr. Sec. level in the year April 1997 having all the streams Non - Medical, Medical, Commerce & Humanities.
Besides traditional education, much emphasis has been laid on moral, spiritual and value based education. Besides bookish knowledge, practical education; development of physical efficiency and the moral values have been the specific attractions of the school.
That is why the school is also privileged to have many IPS Officers, Engineers, Doctors and Lawyers as its alumni. There has been continuous increase in strength due to inexhaustible efforts & diligence of the members of the Managing Committee & dedicated, conscientious teaching faculty.
The Managing Committee of the institution is always on its toes to provide requisite infrastructure as per CBSE norms & changing scenario of education at the global level. It has given a new and modern outlook to the school building.
Pre-Primary Block has been newly constructed as per latest norms and standard for the full development of the children's capabilities of head & heart during the formative years of tiny tots.
Pre-Primary wing has classes Nursery, L.K.G & U.K.G. Fee structure is moderate and affordable. Fee concession is granted to genuine & deserving students belonging to economically weaker section of the society. Scholarship is also accorded to meritorious students & those excelling in sports.
Faculty
The faculty of S. D. Model Senior Secondary School shapes its special character. Each faculty member is both a teacher and a scholar, an expert in his or her own field. All the faculties are highly qualified teachers, who have extensive teaching experience in their respective fields.
All teachers are involved in extracurricular activities. In fact, all teachers also share membership with students on various committees' school houses and supervise individual or small-group research projects.
Teaching Style
Students learn through teacher instruction, group activities and field trip. Teachers use a student-centered style which instills confidence, initiative and development of critical and analytical skills.
Guest speakers are also invited to the school to familiarize the students on various academic, scientific, social and cultural issues.
